Flooding!!

On Thursday and Friday night, we had some really bad storms with a LOT of rain, and now a lot of areas in Freeport are flooded.

Thankfully, we didn't get any water in our basement, but many other people were not as fortunate and have a lot of damage done. Hopefully it doesn't rain again for a while so the water has a chance to go down.

Fair Projects

This past week some of our family entered some projects into the Home Ec building at the Stephenson County Fair. We all did pretty well! :)

Aaron did a great job on this clock!

Aaron got 1st place for his ornament.

I entered several sewing items.
I was very excited about getting Best of Show for this red dress!! =)

Unfortunately, we didn't get pictures of everything! :(
Dad got 2nd place on wheat bread.
Mom got 4th on a decorated cake.
I got 1st on a gingerbread house and 2nd place on a B&W people;portrait picture.
Anthony got 2nd on an apple pie.
Aaron got 1st on carrots, 2nd on tomatoes, 2nd on green beans, 2nd on cornbread, and 3rd on banana bread.

We had taken a break from entering anything for the past couple of years, so it was nice to do it again!

Baptisms

This past Sunday, some friends from Wednesday night Bible study got baptized. We went to the outdoor service first, and then headed to creek for the baptism.

After the baptism, we went back to the tree farm for lunch and then to the Rhoe's house for a party. It was a very nice Sunday! :)

Aaron's Birthday Party

On Thursday, we had a birthday party for Aaron. He wanted to have the Schneiders, Ortegas, and Niesmans over.
