Liberty Day 2009

On Saturday, we went to Liberty Day in Medinah. It was hosted by the Erber family and is a celebration of Patrick Henry's famous "Give me Liberty, or Give me Death" speech. We left at 6:30 in the morning and did not get back until midnight, but it was a very enjoyable day.

Charlie Zahm sang several songs. Our family was excited about him being there because we really enjoy his music.

Paul Jehle was the speaker and he did an excellent job. His sessions were very good and informational.

Paul Jehle talking about the Boston Tea Party.

The men and boys reenacting the Battle of Bunker Hill.

Circle dancing! I really love to dance so there will be a lot of dancing pictures. ;)

My cousin Brittney was home from college for spring break, so she came with us.

It was a long day, but we all had a great time. We are definitely looking forward to going next year!

absolutely disgusting, both the picture with Charlie Zahm and the dancing--ok, so I'm kidding about the pic with Charlie Zahm, but I'm standing firm on the dancing!
