Making New Friends

One of the nights of the conference, the Froemming family( their son Joe was also a NCFIC intern) invited our family to their campsite for supper. They were actually staying at the same campground as our family was. My family had a great time getting to know them, and they want us to go camping with them sometime this summer.

Fathers of Vision Conference in Iowa

To all of you faithful blog readers, sorry I haven't posted in a while. :( I have been pretty busy.

A couple of weekends ago, all the family except for me went to a conference in Iowa. They decided to go camping since it is much cheaper than a hotel. Andrew was pretty excited to go because Scott Brown and Peter Bradrick( two of the men he worked under as an intern) were speakers at the conference. His buddy Joe( one of the interns) and his family were also there. They had a great time at the conference and were inspired. They also had a nice time fellowshipping with everyone there.

I had the whole house to myself (pretty scary to me because I don't like to be alone! ;), so my cousin Brittney came over and spent the weekend with me. We had a lot of fun.

Going Away Party

Last Monday, Niesmans and us had a going away party for Josh Ledgerwood( Anthony, Tyler, and Jordan's piano teacher).

Since Josh can play really, really good, we all wanted him to play some songs.

Aaron's Birthday Party

Last Wednesday, we a birthday party for Aaron. Since it is his thirteenth birthday, Mom and Dad do something special. Sometime they are going to take him to Volcanoe Mountain in Rockford. They went there for Andrew and Anthony's thirteenth birthdays, and Aaron requested to go there. They will probably take him there sometime next week.

Vacation Part 10: Leaving for home

On Sunday morning, we packed up our campsite. We weren't able to go to church because we needed to get going for home.

On our way out, we stopped at the museum they had at the park, and some of us went on the trail.

We left Bone Lick around 1:00 p.m. and arrived home around 9:30 p.m. We had a very good time on vacation.
